POLICIES & PROCEDURES

When shipments are placed with the transportation carrier, they become the property of the Buyer. Issues with product loss or damage in transit rests with Buyer and carrier. Canaan Doors & Iron Works, LLC will assist in the unlikely event of shipment damage. We custom build crates for all products to facilitate a safe job site delivery. Additional manpower or a forklift is required. PLEASE INSPECT YOUR SHIPMENT THOROUGHLY WHEN IT ARRIVES. Report for loss or damaged shipments must be made within 14 days by the customer.

Freight:
All orders will be shipped prepaid. Shipments will be made by the most prompt and cost-effective means available to Canaan Doors & Iron Works, LLC unless specific shipping instructions are indicated.

Changes and Cancellations:
All products are considered custom. The design of your product, once placed with and accepted by Canaan Doors & Iron Works, LLC is noted on an order form and may only be altered relative to production schedule. An order placed with and accepted by Canaan Doors & Iron Works, LLC and subsequently canceled, will be subject to deposit forfeiture.

Returns:
All products are considered custom. Merchandise can not be returned without a Return Authorization Number (RAN). Unauthorized returns will be refused and returned to sender at their expense. All claims for defective merchandise, billing errors, etc. must be made in writing within 14 days from date of arrival.

Warranty:
Canaan Doors & Iron Works, LLC warrants its product to be free from defect in material and workmanship for a period of FIVE (5) Years from the date of delivery to the user and will repair or replace any defective product or parts at Canaan Doors & Iron Works, LLC discretion.

This warranty excludes installation, glass, weather stripping, finish weathering, threshold and shipping. Canaan Doors & Iron Works, LLC finishes may age relative to exposure and use. Canaan Doors & Iron Works, LLC does not consider this to be a defect, but rather a normal process which can not be avoided. Canaan Doors & Iron Works, LLC iron and wood components are hand crafted, and therefore, some designs may dictate that slight variances occur to preserve strength. Canaan Doors & Iron Works, LLC reserves the right to make minor design adjustments in order to maintain strength.

Canaan Doors & Iron Works, LLC assumes no liability for any labor charges regarding the installation, removal or reinstallation of product.

Damages caused by accident, misuse, abuse or improper installation are not covered by this warranty. All disputes relating in any way to these Terms and Conditions of Sale shall be resolved in the state of Florida, and such disputes shall be governed by Florida law.
